Hey darlings, its Dita once again! And today is Valentines day which I, from the bottom of my heart, very much....despise. Want to know why? Well then keep on reading!
I hate Valentines Day very much for various reasons that include not only observations of men and women strutting the high streets of towns in the desperate search for a gift that fits, but as well the idea that Valentines Day is just one of the many excuses for businesses to paint stuff pink and sell women out as sexy underwear carving bunnies, hot and ready for some so much needed action with their alleged hunk like husbands, boyfriends or lovers.
Besides the obvious facts that the hunk lovers, husbands or boyfriends, with their Greek godlike body appearance, are just a so rarely truly existing construct of the marketing industry. These male models and their, for me not understandable, need to starve themselves into shape, drink disgusting protein shakes for better muscle development, centering mayor time in their life to thinking about carbs, fats and whatsoever and hitting the gym on a daily basis of at least an hour (If not two.), are not really a standard people can live up to. You know people with jobs, a life and a thing called friends or even a hobby. And don't even get me started on the women. I can not understand the urge of women to specifically whore- or porn star it up just for V-Day just for their men (or women). If you are in love with a person and you want to make it a seductive and intimate happening then make it spontaneous. Cause V-Day is no big surprise for stuff like that. As well, why is it that women most of the time are some what expected to take this part. Why not have your man waiting for you ladies?
Besides all that I find it Valentines day to be one of those ridiculous excuses for the industry to make money by gendering stuff. Lets switch into Neanderthal mode and see it with the eyes of a Neanderthal male: Pink thing, it Valentines Day is. Woman want gift. I buy pink stuff, says love and me will get woman to have sex with me. Me good man buy sweet stuff for woman, she thinks pink nice is!" Okay see that is what I am talking about! First: why is pink female? Pink is ugly that's what it is! And its not female, cause to say that is basically sexist. I don't need no Barbie shit!
And after all that, last but defo not least, comes the observation that people tend to see V-Day as the most romantic day of the year... and that is not so. Its made up people! If you really can say that Valentines Day is the most romantic day of the year for you then (A) I hardly doubt that and (B) pitty you very much!
