100 Gay Icons, And Why the Gays Love Them - Part 1

Hey there! After a hiatus on the site due to my move to the UK I am back and full of ideas and energy to give you all the pop culture stuff that you love and adore! And to hit your pop culture puss right where it needs pounding I give you a ten parts long segment. 

So here is part one of the new segment: "100 Gay Icons, And Why the Gays Love Them". This time I'm gonna give you numbers 100 till 91 with explanations of why the gays like them. But let me say: To make this list was not that easy. First there are tons of Gay Icons out there. Second: This is only my selection, and I am sure there are many other Icons worth mentioning. And when part one will be on the blog I will also give you a list of Icons that I considered being on the list, but did not put on. Concerning the ranking Jeez! That was hard. #100 - Nicki Minaj

Minaj is a hip hop Barbie, that has made "Think pink!" go street cred. Her looks and her music has gotten her on that list. But I put her right in the back of it since she still is much more about hip hop than about gay rights. But still we have to menation her. Who knows what is to come? (Hopefully not another nip-slip on GMA! That was not fabulous!) 

#099 - Josh Hutcherson

The Hunger Games star has recently been awarrded with the Vanguard Award from  GLAAD and is openly speaking out for equality and gay marriage. Besides that. He is such a cutie. All the gays want him! Maybe our next Anderson Cooper!

#098 - Michelle Obama

Her husband is the first sitting president to support gay marriage. And that she is promotig healthy eating and equal opportunities for everyone seals the deal. (Besides her fab fashion choices!) That is a First Lady the gays like!

#097 - David Beckham

Okay not really outspoken in the way many others are, but sometimes the gays dont give a shit. They just want him to be gay because of his looks. And guess what: that is fine with me!

#096 - Barack Obama

Look at him! Like I said: " the first sitting president to support gay marriage". If thats not progress to be mentioned here, what is?

#095 - Pamela Anderson

Her snatch and boobs might not be what a gay man calls yummy, but for sure the Baywatch beauty and PETA supporter also jiggles her two, well, "friends" for equality!

#094 - Greta Garbo

The gay community has this tendency of choosing dead movie stars from Hollywoods glam era to be icos in their universe. And "The Garbo" sure has secured her spae with her amazing presence on screen!

#093 - Carol Brunette

I'm still too young to know about her in deatil (And I am quite happy that this is the fact!) but this fierce funny woman sure is a gay icon. I mean Pandora Boxx imitated her at the Snatch Game for a reason!

#092 - Jean Harlow

Marilyns blonde bombshell idol that was the first: "Live glam, work hard, die young and become a myth!" laday of showbiz. And the gay love her for that! (The gays would love anyone that gave the Marilyn!)

#091 - Iggy Azalea

She might be an Australian black woman trapped in the body of a Swedish milk bun that raps as if her tongue was ripped out of a pro's mouth, but she sure mentions gays here and there. But: In a positive way. A young FemC with potential to make hip-hop less homophobic.

"Just in!" - MTV VMA's 2013 The Nominations are out!

I am, just like Kathy Griffin, a huge fan of a things award show. I mean as log as there are people nominated that I love and which I respect as an artist. So here are the nominations and my prediction of who is going to win! So lets start the Icon Art Marilyn VMA 2013 prediction.

This years VMA's are on the 25th of August and they have changed the moon man, which I like very much, since it is more edgy and fun! Check it out online and look at the great logo of this years VMA's. And here are the categories!

Music Minute - Billboard Music Awards 2013

Hey you out there! I am a huge fan of award shows, in particular if my favorites win. Although I just was reading a live report and not watching the actual event I have enjoyed the Billboard Music Awards.

For me the best of such a show are the performances, but since i haven't seen them this year i had to look up who performed.  And pretty much there was no performance there for me. I mean there were Bruno Mars (I think he is good, but I don't care for his music), Selena Gomez (Seriously? She is considered a singer?), Chris Brown (This dude is not worth it, i mean seriously you women beating asshole?), Taylor Swift (Cant stand her!), JLo (I mean who cares?) and Pitbull (Whose music is the CRAP!). The only notable one would be Prince, but i kinda don't really love him either. And not to talk about talentless lil Justin Bieber (Who I don't consider an artist since he does not even write his own songs, and does not know how to behave. Well, but something he must be doing right.). So to the award winners now:

The biggest winner of the night was, like i would have predicted it: Taylor Swift. She took home 8 awards including Top Artist (Where I would have picked Rihanna from the nominees), Billboard Top 200 Album (Which Adles 21 deserved much more, and I'm not even a real fan of Adele) and Best Female Artist (Which she actually deserved, since she was nominated along Britney, Katy P, Rihanna and Christina - I don't give a shit i cant sing - Aguilera).  Rihanna was the second biggest winner with R&B Song of the Year for Diamonds (Which was a good pick),  R&B Album of the Year for Unapologetic (I don't get it where Unapologetic is R&B, but its okay with me, although I would have loved to see Frank Ocean take home this one) and as the R&B Artist of the year (Rihanna is not R&B, Only because she is not Caucasian does not make that Pop and Electronic bitch R&B!!!). 

Carly Rae (I don't give a shit about your so called "music") Jepsen, Justin (for shure is a lesbian) Bieber, Nicki (Still can't sing live, but I love her music) Minaj and One (Confusing that they are still around,) Direction each earned 3 awards, some of them deserved some not. The biggest surprise for me was that Madonna took home 3 awards. She was nominated for 3 and won these 3! She took home Dance album of the Year (Which, even though MDA has its weak spots, she, in my opinion, deserved. But the others would have deserved this award as well.), Dance Artist of the Year (Which sorry Madge, should have gone to Swedish House Mafia) and Top Touring Artist. 

The Category Top Touring Artist, for me is very important. I mean She was nominated along amazing Coldplay, Mother Monster Lady Gaga, legendary Bruce Springsteen and Roger (Who the fuck is he?) Walters. All would have deserved the award except for Walters. Then I prefer huge shows, since they are ten times more "showy" and difficult. So this leaves Madonna and Gaga. And Madonna just makes her Tours so successful (in commercial sense) since tickets cot 300 $! And Se "only" did 88 shows. Gaga did 98 of over 110 shows and then had to stop due to hip surgery. But anyways: I liked the MDNA Tour and I will get the Concert DVD! But i would have loved to see Gaga win this!

Best Moment of the night: Bieber getting booed!
