"TV Series I Am Addicted To" - 3 Reasons to Love "2 Broke Girls"

Like said by me many many times I have a huge addicttive personality for TV series that are freaking amazing. And "2 Broke Girls" is definitely one of them. And since it is in its third season right now, I figured it is time to give you three reasons why the show is freaking amazing!

The general story of the show is as follows: Martin Channing, a financee in New York, gets blow up in his illegal scam, where he screwed his rich customers and stole their money. Of course he goes to prison and his daughter, Caroline Channing, only gets to grab what she can and run from their town house, which of course, gets taken from them. Desperate for a place to stay and to find a job to make some money Caroline gets a job as a waitress in the "Williamsburg Diner". There she meets Max Black, an emotionally dead 20 something girl that makes cup cakes to get some extra money. From there on the show taes its ride and Max and Caroline move in together. Thing is: with Carloine's business expertise and Max's abilities in baking the cupcakes they plan on opening a cupcake shop and making their own business. And here come the three best reasons why the show is absolutely to love and amazing!

#1 - Cursing, Cursing and Cursing!

If the girls do not work their butts off at the diner, at a job they have found and/or taken on Craigslist or work on the cupcake business they ted to work out their problems. And especially Max is very good at cursing, mad references and tart tongued attacks at everyone that annoys her. (Especially Hipsters!) And hell yes I love the cursing part! What is not to love about it?

#2 - Cultural references en Mass

Actually "2 Broke Girls" could be a TV guide to everything, and that includes Bravo TV. I mean the ammount o Celebrity smashing downs, cameo appearances and constant hipster related dissing is the bomb!

#3 - Chestnut, their HORSE!

The girls have a freaking word in their backyard! I mean a HORSE! Hello! That s freaking awesome and amazing, and believe me, it adds to the comedy of the series as hell!

So, guys, just move your asses along and check the series out! If you have not seen it yet you are missing out hard!

Liz and Dick & Why Lindsay Lohan might as well be our generations Elizabeth Taylor

Okay calm down you people out there who already start to bitch and moan about my Lindsay and Liz comment. Read first and then bitch and moan about me and tweet me @s4mlkueh! So this time "I watch it, so should you!" gets against all critics opinions.

Poster belongs to Lifetime.
I don't get these harsh and bad reviews Liz and Dick has gotten by the critics. Like Kathy Griffin I just absolutely loved the movie, and I loved Lindsay Lohan in it. Basically it is theatrical, overproduced, over pointed and dull at the same moment. It just is like our generation. Our generation is just used to such stuff. What we want is exactly that stuff: a sweet and tender story with a sad background motive that swings behind everything with an ocean of excess and lavishness surrounding it. I mean, why do you think Lana Del Rey is so successful?

What makes the movie for my generation interesting is that it comes at such a lavish beauty that still is even topped with theatrical lines. The movie and its production is basically so over the top that it is like one of these old Hollywood glamour movies, where everyone knows that it is so glamorous that it is constructed, fake and bought on money rolling all over. The best lines of the movie basically come from Elizabeth.

When they are in the trailer oat the beginning of the movie Elizabeth and Richard fight and Elizabeth tells Richard: "I don't hate you, I loathe you!" - I mean, what is not to absolutely love about that damn line? Also when Liz is at her home in Switzerland before they marry, she just sits outside all done up and lights a smoke. She takes a sip and screams out loud: "I'm bored!" - Well! That must have been the most perfect line to express the dullness of life. I mean Hollywood can have that thing to bore the shit out of you with its fake perfectness and materialism. Our "faky" Hollywood version of Waiting for Godot. I know high jump but it kind of is! Oh and the favorite scene basically is when Liz smashes a bottle of Vodka on the wall, in one of the plenty vicious fights they have! And how I love these fights, because they show how unstable and childish they must be, well at least how we perceive them today. And the line that defines the movie and what basically sums up the crux of the movie is Liz in bed saying to Richard, when he rushes to his wife to divorce: "Hurry back! I want more! - And more seems to be what defines Liz.

Picture belongs to Lifetime.
What I absolutely love about all this is the diva-is attitude I get from all this. And that is what I like.. All the wild and unreasonable excess and the not super empathic acting of the characters. That is what we want to see. We want to see downfall and decay. And that is what Liz and Dick gives us.

And when it comes to Lohan as our generations Liz is that we do remember Liz only as the brilliant actress in Cleopatra, the excess and wild love life and her great charity work. Do not get me wrong, I absolutely love and adore Liz, but for us she is the embodiment of old Hollywood and excess. And that what Lohan gives us. The glam life, the talent (Because she has lots of talent.) and the full excess and scandal. We get beauty and decay, talent and its fall and love and fight. And that is what we want and what we were grown up with. What Taylor is for us is a symbol. And our incarnation of that symbol is Lindsay Lohan, if you like it or not! ;)

And the set, the jewels, the clothing and the drinking, the smoking and the juwellery. Madly in love with it. And best: Lohans voice. How can you not love that smoky voice? And really, shit to those who say i do Liz injustice with this. I don't. Wonder what women Liz has been compared to and many were not okay with it.

basically the movie is like a huge extremely sad and happy but dull, like narcotic, suicide note we all can imagine but never want to write or read.  It is full of hot passion and love we want and desire but we really are upset from. A sad but brilliant movie, swimming in an ocean of excess. What is not to love about it. I have already watched it for the 12th time.

"I watch it, so should you!" - True Blood season finale and the thing with Sookie's precious fairy vagina

It already is over: True Blood Season 6. It came fast and it left as fast as it came. So let me recap the tenth and final episode "radioactive" for you and tell you why we should be excited for season seven. And you wont be disappointed from the tenth episode either because the promotion has been true: we see more of Eric then ever. Literally!

Episode 10 of this season starts off with Sookie starring at Terry's grave being filled and Sookie and Alcide have a talk about her funeral talk about being a fae. And already we can tell that, as Pam put it, "Sookies precious fairy vagina" is certainly no turn down for Alcide. Then they see the vampires coming back from camp and celebrating their newly gained freedom. Sookie goes there and meets Jason and is more than happy to. When Jasons vamp girlfriend Violet starts romping about who Sookie is Jason clears up the situation, teling that they are siblings. Violet then kisses Sookie on the mouth just saying: "If you are his sister, you'r mine too!". Jason comments: "She's European." best fucking sentence ever to be said in such surrounding! Then the true WTF moment happens: Pam runs up to Sookie and HUGS her! I mean when have we ever seen Pam hug someone else than Eric or Tara? I mean it is Pam. Also Tara hugs her and says that since Bill has saved them she won't be able to hate on him ever again.

Sookie then returns to Warlow who already has built their wedding flower-pole-thing-maypole. And Sookie tells him that she wants to keep her promises but she wants him to spend time with him first, instead of beeing turned instantly. And Warlow makes a 180 degrees character turn, an tells Sookie to basically fuck off ad that she is his. Well: REALLY? I started to like this fucker and he goes the other way round. Oh and by the way: he strangles her. Back at Bills the vamps play volleyball. And my face was just like: WTF! Volleyball, are you serious guys? But then Tara goes to see Pam and Pam tells her that she leaves to search for Eric, and even though Tara is pissed at her Pam does have a hard time to leave her. She looks at her and asks her to take care of Willa.

Inside his house Bill learns that he has lost his divine powers, although he still can walk the light. He realizes that he is Bill and not Lillith anymore and that he basically just sold Sookie off. Jessica tells him that he still can save her, she really saves his last part humanity. Im so glad that Jessica exists! They tell Jason and he and Violet go to the Bellfleur house to ask the remaining fae to come with them and use her light to get to the fae realm. They succeed even though its hard, but the fae girl wants to help. Meanwhile Bill releases Dr. Takahashi, glamours him and leaves him lots of money!

In the fae realm Warlow has bound Sookie to the pole, and she try to kill him with her vamp killing ball, but he stops her, also bounds her hands to the pole. He tells her, he just wants to fuck, own and use her for her blood. He also calls her a danger whore. Wow. if that is not a bad romance! Meanwhile our Sookie save group enters the realm. Bill, Violet, Jason, Andy and the fae girl enter the realm and free Sookie. They save Sookie and as they escape Bill stays in the realm and fights Warlow. They both leave later through Warlows light. When Warlow tries to get Sookie in her house he fights down Jason, Andy and Violet (Who by the way is 800 years old.) But when he nearly has her in the bathroom Niall comes out of the portal and holds him. Then Jasosn stacks Warlow, and Niall comes back to the normal world. As Warlow is dead all Vamps that have drunken Bill's blood feel that they have lost the ability to walk in the sun. Poor Eric is sitting naked in the swedish mountains sunning in the snow and reading the book when he starts to burn off. BUT: We don not see him splash, so he probably is not dead. But what we see is his dick, and I am sure Alexander Skarsgards dick is or on every gay porn site possible. And I can not say it is not withut reason.

SIX MONTHS LATER....

Sookie watches Bill in a TV interview talking about the story of season 6 as the author of a book about it.  What i hate about it: Sookie is together with Alcide. Her precious fairy vagina! Dammit! Then we see Jason giving head to Violet, as he says he has done so each day since the camp thing, but he still is not allowed to fuck her. Well too bad for you Jason! In a church scene we see both churches of Bon Temps, black and white, together where Sam, the new mayor announces that this evening the "Bellfleur's Bar and Grill" , now owned by Arlene, ffers free food and drink, to find a hep-v free vamp there they can feed and he protects them from the wild attacking hep-v vampires. Some people leave church...

At the party all get together and Taras mom talks to her and wants her daughter to feed of her. And after some hard thinking she does. I just think that bitch is infected and wants to kill her daughter! Do not trust that church cunt! And also it seems that Willa is fine and she would not be that fine if Eric was dead and Tara would not be fine if Pam was dead. Meanwhile jessica goes to the Bellfleur home and offers them their protection but without wanting to feed on them. She tries to redeem herself. As Sookie and Alcide want to go home, Bill offeres them his protection and right as Alcide and Bill start to get bitchy Alcide and Bill smell something: A group of gone wild hep-v vampires starts to come to the party. And they get more and more. Well, I guess that is our cliffhanger for season seven. And damn that is a cliffhanger. Now we can start to tweet #WaitingSucks once more. See you next year Bon Temps.

What I liked was that Pam goes after Eric and that Violet situation for Jason. What I hated: Sookie and Alcide together. What I was shocked by: Warlows 180 turn and Bill relizing his feelings for Sookie. Did I love the finale? Yeas! But it was very unexpected an twisted. And I would have loved to see that Bill - Lillith - Warlow thing played off better. I mean we are talking vampire gods here! But I was kind of ... well not turned down by Eric and his "I Love my Schlong thing". And I cant wait to see what happens to Pam, because for me it is the worst waiting to see what happens to her. Well I guess I just have to wait. ......FUCK! I HATE WAITING! Hurry up HBO! ;)

"I watch it, so should you!" - True Blood "Dead Meat"

I know I have fangirled more over this True Blood season than a 14 year old about this closeted lesbian named Justin Bieber. Yeah. So that much for those of you who cant take it anymore, but I am going to write about the eighth episode of the sixth season called "Dead Meat".

And thereby I 'd like to give out some awards to the characters, since I feel that this season has put my head near to an explosion, in a positive way. Well lets start with what went down in this episode. Well the most surprising thing is that Alcide and Sam have not bored me to death but also have really worked it out to get me interested once more into their story lines! And even better, with Sam having knocked up Nicole like 12 days after they met, the story gets more confusing! So the Icon Art award for "Finally getting interesting" goes to them.

Okay and the real deal this episode for me was Sarah Newlin! And I'm not saying she could also be called Sarah Palin, but she could. Bitch is crazy! When she had that fight with the CEO of TruBlood, Mrs. Suzuki, my facial expression was between WTF and I Love it! And only Sarah Newlin can pull it off to thank Jesus after killing Mrs. Suzuki with a fabulous high heel shoe. Well bitch is crazy! And you know what? She so earned the Icon Art award for "Motherfucking Crazy Ass Bitch!". And alongside that the award for "I Hate That Bitch" goes to the vampire who has claimed Jason hers. I kinda wanna know how old she is, because with Pam in gen-pop things could turn. And how she got in there? Well she fucked the psychologist and says the sex was "oozy, but productive". Well the award for "Whore of the Century" goes to Pamela "Fuckalot/Fuckenstein" Swynford de Beaufort. and you know Pam is m favorite character. But seriously, Pam is about 180 years old, and very talented as a vampire. (Remember, she can already fly at such young vampire age?) How old can that other bitch be, that Pam can't fuck her up?

When it comes to Eric and dealing with his anger over the death of Nora I kinda feel his outbreak at the beginning of the episode could have been bigger. I mean I love it, but somehow I expected him to totally loose it and really attacking Bill. But somehow he just looses it mentally, and after Bill levitating him, and Eric making fun of him in a brilliant way, he leaves Bill's mansion. Okay Eric you definitely earned the Icon Art award for "Extremely Complex Character" when Bill needs to receive the award for "Turning One-Dimensional". But Eric feeding on the remaining daughter of Terry to get into the fairy realm was pretty bad ass. But I kinda did not get why he attacked Warlow. #SorryBoutIt

What I was most surprised of was Sookie. When she went to Sam to, I don't know, ad telling him about winding up together, I was really like WTF! But when she stand in front of her parents graves and tells them she'd rather walk the earth as s corpse, then laying besides them for eternity. Wow, finally Sookie makes some good decisions. If Warlow, or any other of these Vampires, wanted to turn me.. well here is my wrist. take a bite and dig me in bitches! Also her wearing that black dress, that hair and that attitude: WOW! This time Sookie gets the Icon Award for "Finally getting things in order!". So in the end we are left hanging, I mean the makers of True Blood really know how to pull a good cliffhanger, with Sookie bringing Bill to the fairy realm discovering Warlow has been attacked by Eric. And shit seems too be going down since he looks kind of dead. Well, the whole episode gave us much, but basically it is just a huge cliffhanger since they bring the story further but leave us standing in the rain. It will be hard to wait seven fucking days

"I watch it, so should you!" - The new Hunger Games trailer!

I know I am about some hours late to that party, yeah yeah cry me a river, but I had some stuff to do and only get to this by now. So lets dive into it right now:

The new trailer only more and more emphasized the difference between the first movie and this one. The look is more sharp, less comic like, it is darker, more bigger than life (Like the Budget to the movies!) and absolutely more filled with pathos from the beginning on. So just you know: I want to watch this movie so bad, I would fuck a donkey! So if you haven't seen the trailer yet, watch it now here!

The new trailer features some great insight into the movie. It at first shows by the more darker style that Katniss and Peeta grew up and the situation has gained more and more tension.  We get a first view of the Victors village and see how fucked up it is, since no one really is there in district 12, the Capitol which looks more modern and urbanized and darker. Also the train on which they come is so beautiful and dark, befitting the atmosphere, and the genera sadness of the victors tour. Also we see Snow threatening Katniss with war. My most favorite scene is when we see the reaping in district 12 and Effie nearly cries and looks full of sorrow, since she is my fav character I love that she, as a part o the machine, starts to see its monster nature. Also we see the scenes with the burning outfits and training room sequences. What is not to love about that It is sooo good and really catches the tense atmosphere of the book. Well, no wonder since the director is Francis Lawrence, the genius who directed Lady Gagas Bad Romance video!

I'm gonna watch the shit out of the movie, I'm gonna watch it so often it will get sore! Oh and by the way check out my first fashion reviews I did of Catching Fire. I'm shure once the movie is out I'm gonna do a complete fashion review!

"I watch it, so should you!" - True Blood is making me loose my cool, well what has been left of it!

Those suckers know how to make an impression on me With that trailer that HBO released of what is to come in the remaining 5 True Blood episodes they have ensured me that they can take it up a notch each and every season!

And don't tell me it gets to outta there because this is a fucking vampire series, i mean what you expect? Stories about some goddamn boring everyday bogus? I don't think so! From what I can see the Vamps will fight back big times and it will get to a personal level for every character of ours! I think everyone of them will finally decide whether he truly wants to put #SaveTheVamps in their status or not. Pam gets out her fangs and starts to fight bad ass style as Eric. Tara will protect Jason, Jess is horrified and Eric pissed big times. And to all that Billith might rethink that Lillith thing, while Warlow and Sookie make some connection and she eventually thinks about being turned vamp! (Which I would totally love!) And last but not least. i still don't have a single fuck to give about that goddamn werewolf and shifter story line which got boring and boring with every time Alcide screaming "I am the pack master!" (And you must have lost you goddamn mind and brain while becoming it, since you act as stupid as Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney combined!) So I hope that the seventh season will be huge boom, like this one! And I could not really figure out who will be killed. Since they normally do not burry Vamps I think it  is going to be a human. I think it might either be Jason, Sam or Lafayette. So get into this shit, you wont regret it!

"Just in!" - HBO decides: True Blood will...

... go on! The official True Blood account on Facebook posted the following picture and announced that True Blood will be renewed for a seventh season!

Picture belongs to HBO.

So lets call it True Blood Day on Icon Art Marilyn! We are so excited!

"I watch it, so should you!" - True Blood Season 6 - What we know so far, halfway through the season!

So with yesterdays air of the fifth episode of True Blood's sixth season "Fuck the Pain Away" the season is halfway through. But what to make of season six, and all its superlatives, boredom and craziness so far?

Well concerning that it had fabulous five previous seasons the expectations were as high as Eric Northman can fly, especially since the Vampire authority was in ruins, 2000 year old ancient vampire Salome was staked, Russel - 3000 years old bastard - Edgington staked as well, Bill returning as Billith and Warlow on his way. What to make out of True Blood in season 6. Episode one interestingly entitled "Who Are You, Really?" did not really get fans what they wanted to. Hell to the yes it was exciting to see how everything goes, but clearly the episode was overly explaining for what has happened. There was some fire missing! Absolute Highlight of the episode turned out to be Pam, who tole the show with her one liners! Who could ever forget that hilarious scene with Pam and Tara at the beach, after they have escaped the vampire authority? And that great fight she and Nora had in the car:

Oh and we found out that Bill, Billith, Lillit or whatever the fuck you would call him can not be staked, or at least he doesn't die from it. Also in the episode: Sooki getting her house back from Eric, resending her invitation, Jessica sticking to Bill and Jason telling everything to a stranger in a car. Besides that Andy taking care of his fae children, and the Alcide and Sam story lines start to bore the shit put of me!

Episode two "The Sun" proved that there is a way to better the season, since it was not that fucking boring. If I think about it again: I have already reviewed this episode, so go and read all about it here.

Finally the series regained its charm with the release of episode three "You're No Good". Eric kidnaps Willa Burrel (It was about time he fought back, I  mean he is the oldest known vampire alive after Warlow!) Sookie's fae grandfather reminds her that she is fae royalty, Pam and Tara are not amused when Eric brings Willa to Fangtasia. They learn about the camp and leave Fangtasia for ever (?). Lafayette sticks to Sam, whose storyline is till find irritatingly annoying! Same counts for Alcide! While fea gramps discovees the fae strip club has been drunken empty by Warlow, Billth tries to withstand the sun and starts to burn! (Stupid you, you still are a vampire, and they have always been creatures of the night!) Meanwhile Eric and his posse  of Pam, Tara and Willa visit good old, she shcreams the shit out of ever season,

"I watch it, so should you!" - Reasons to love #TrueBlood

Okay this one is just a short, and quick reminder why to love HBO's True Blood! And also even one more reason to love Eric's progeny Pamela Swynford de Beaufort.

Whoever made this GIF I owe you big times! =)

"TV Series I am addicted to." - Pushing Daisies

I have started my new series from the category "I watch it, so should you!" "TV Series I am addicted to." some time ago. And at first I talked you in why I am so madly in love with "True Blood". But this time you will be introduced to "Pushing Daisies".

It has been some time since "Pushing Daisies" was on TV since it only has 2 seasons and just 22 episodes, which is pretty bad. And the worst is that nobody knew why they canceled the show since it's ratings were pretty good and the show since then has grown a huge fanbase.

Basically the show is about the pie-maker Ned who has the special ability that if he touches something dead it come to life again. If he touches it again it dies, forever! Thing is that if he touches a living creature and let it stay alive for more than 1 minute something else, with no connection to the thing alive, dies. But: if the pie-maker touches it it still will die forever. Since Ned has this restaurant called "The Pie Hole"and had some financial trouble Ned decides to engage in a partnership with "Emerson Cod" a private investigator. They clear up murder cases by waking up the dead for a minute and asking who killed the victim and for other tips. very often the murderer is not the one alleged but they still find the real murder. What gives the series a special twist is that Ned has re-lived his youth love Charlotte, or as he calls her: "Chuck" They fall madly in love, but can't touch each other. Torpeding their relationship is o pie waitress form the "Pie Hole" is Olive Snook (Played by Kristin Chennowith) who is madly in Love with Ned as well. And giving the series an even more genius twist is that Chucks aunts, who raised her, start to befriends with the "Pie Hole" crew, ned accidentally killed Chuck's father, Chucks can not see her aunts, Emerson has a daughter he has ever seen and Olive does not know about the magic finger of the pie-maker. Sounds cray cray? Yes! But it is so good.

My favorite characters are Chucks aunts Lilly and Vivienne, the former "Darling Mermaids" who were synchronized swimmers, until Lilly has been blinded on one eye whilst cleaning the cat toilet.  You can see a picture of them here. The tone of  and campy, the show is very upbeat, the visuals are amazing, the movie allegories heavy, the story funny and smart and the murder cases morbid, funny and great!

"I watch it, so should you!" - Brad Pitt's masterpiece World War Z

Marc Forster. We know? Yes we do. Forster is the director of World War Z and also has directed "James Bond. A Quantum of Solace". Yes, the one the critics hated! But f.y.i. he also directed "Monster's Ball" which got Halle Berry an Oscar! And with World War Z he jumped directly onto my "Fucking Amazing List"!

World War Z is definitely an amazing movie and I will give you all the good reasons. At first it is a act that the book, on which the movie is based , is a fucking amazing book. And therefore the story can not be that bad! At second: Brad Pitt. This one is not only able to act, but also able to produce. Yes, Mr. Pitt has had his finger in the production of WWZ. But lets get to the story, shall we?

World War Z premier in Sydney. Picture belongs to Eva Rinaldy Celebrity and Live Music Photographer. Used
under Creative Commons License.

Pitt plays a family father, 2 daughters, a wife, former U.N. special agent and retired. A family person. Living in Philadelphia he has a pretty normal life. until the Zombie apocalypse breaks loose. Pitt and his family flee, and after a night in a flat of some friendly people they are rescued by a helicopter sent by the U.N. And what we see then is a horror scenario: The world is drowning in huge masses of Zombies. Pitt now has to get back into work for the U.N. and therefore has to leave for South Korea in order to find the source of the infection source. But in South Korea they do not really find what they are looking for. And the Zombies we get to know are not what a Zombie in "Dawn of the Dead" once were. These ones are fast, when they bite you will change into a zombie in up to 15 seconds, they are kind of like dangerous animals, react to noise and are so highly aggressive that they will crawl buildings by running over each other, building towers. How to handle this problem? Pitt tries to find the solution in Jerusalem, but due to the Zombies has to leave for Europe. In Wales he finds the first light of hope. But with a dangerous turn towards it. The zombies avoid one thing that can be deadly to humans. Weapon or defense for humans? And just so you notice: These Zombies are only really dead if you burn them, shooting is just not enough.

Pitt who does most of the acting is on top of his game, all side characters are believable, and the best of all is that Brad Pitt's character is not that typical heroic character. he is worried for his family, hates to leave them and i reluctant to start working again for the U.N. The movie offers a huge variety of entertaining and wowing  shots and scenes. Also the zombies are not that super typical concerning the make-up. From the directorial side the movie is also very god and offers many different sides of the genre. The mixture of the frightening scenes and the rest is just perfect. Even the movies soundtrack is perfectly fitting. And the best to all is that the movie takes a realistic turn towards the catastrophy: humans are not totally chance less, but the zombies pose a high enough threat.

Go and watch, because you will not regret it! And if you do not like Zombies at all: Do it for Brad Pitt with hair like Jesus!

"I watch it, so should you!" . The Purge

When I first saw the trailer of "The Purge" I was extremely excited for the movie. The themes of it, the sheer idea, the concept, everything should be in place and time to make that movie an epic take on utopia as a cover of a dystopian society. And yesterday I went to see the movie.

Picture belongs to Universal.
I have to say that I absolutely loved the beginning sequence! It was like a mash up of violent scenes from surveillance cameras but the genius about it was that in the background happy classical music was playing. Hello disturbing alienation effect. This absolutely hit me since it shows, directly from the beginning, that the society we will get to know is one where violence and crime have been glorified and risen to socially acceptable rank. And this is what, for me, all of the movie was about!

The movie is centered about a family living in the America of 2022. Before these years crime has over rolled America, and the new founder fathers (we assume companies) decided to create a yearly 12 hour time called the purge ind which nearly every crime is legal including murder, rape and theft. but there are no emergency facilities open during that time. Only some high government workers are protected. The Purge is believed to release the peoples problems, and it seems a though the crime statistics from under 1% proves the inventors right. the family around which the movie is centered is a wealthy one, where the father is selling security systems that lock the house completely. They life in a good neighborhood where some of their neighbors think this family doe's not deserve the wealth they have since the whole neighborhood bought security systems from them. When the night comes, and the house is secured, the son of this family opens the house for a man on the flee from some purge participants. They are now eager to get that men, and if necessary run down the house, which they then do.

During the movie some of them characters get what they deserve, others show their true colors, neighbors do not only bake cookies and take packages for one and former threats turn out to be life savers.

Sounds good? Well then I am sorry to tell you that the camera handling was shakier than in "Blairwitch Project", the story a bit flat, the actors sometimes not that believable and the general  implementation was thirsty for some good results. But all in all I would give the purge 5 out of 10 stars since from an interpretational matter it gave good material.

"I watch it, so should you!" - Samantha - Feminist(?) - Jones Part 1

"Sex and the City" for six, and even more years, has been the holy grail of what nearly everybody (including many straight men) considers to be a "women series".  Not only the high quotes made HBO loving this series, but also the good storytelling and good stories made it a viewer’s favorite. But a series about 4 single women, all straight, ultimately leads to the question: Is this series to be considered pro feminism or not, especially with a character like Samantha Jones?

Picture belongs to HBO
Okay for those of you who live under a rock, behind the moon or have been hiding somewhere without Internet, TV or some other media i will give you a sum up of who Samantha Jones is. Samantha Jones is a 42 year woman (in the first season) who has her own PR firm and is a successful business woman. Unlike many others her age Samantha is not interested in finding a man to marry, or already being married, rather more finding a man to fuck her. And if possible a different one(s) for each and every day of the week. Throughout the 6 seasons of "Sex and the City" she had some relationships and some even a bit longer, but she had never had the urge to make her walk up the isle. Basically you get the picture, I guess: The female equivalent of a toxic bachelor, who is in charge of her own finances and life. But: is her "whoring it up", as I like to call it (And I am all "pro whore" and in favor of such women), understood to be feminist or rather not? Can we call Samantha - Fuckenstein (Insiders will get what I am preaching ^^) - Jones a feminist?

Okay first things first: best would be to give you all a short layout on what feminism really is, because its lot more than "Go Green" and "I'm burning my bra for gender equality" women! Feminism basically can be divided up into three waves and is an umbrella term for all movements, theories and ideologies that try to work on establishing an defining equality of the genders in all terms, including politics, social things and such stuff. The first wave of feminism could be dated back to the 19th and early 20th century. During that time women fought for really basic rights which we consider given for each and every one of us, such as the right to vote, own stuff and having right in a marriage.

"I watch it, so should you!" - Movies I am super excited for!

Hey all of you! This summer so far has been, from the point of weather, a mess. Lets be honest: some extra super hot days do not count for a summer since not was not really a great thing and most people suffered from the heat way more than enjoying it actually. So what to do when its super hot or either pretty cold for summer? Go to the movies! And that is what I am excited for this summer.

What you will get her is a list of some of the movies I am very eager to get my eyes on this summer, or better said, the rest of the year. So lets dive right into this movie extravaganza!

Kick Ass 2
*August, 14th, 2013*

I have already seen the first one in the series and I loved the campy and warholian vibe to it. It has this sense of surreal reality that I really enjoy and somehow, I mean in a freaking weird sense, it also has that sort of message to it, to do better in live. Maybe not as a superhero, but maybe as a person helping others. So tze sequel should be a hot mess!

Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters
*August, 7th, 2013*

I have like not only read, but rather more, eaten all of the Percy Jackson books. I was fascinated by ancient greek stories about the goods and demigods since i was a little boy. The books took me by storm, the first movie was , it was not a blast, but it was kind of good, so I can not wait to get to see the sequel!

Catching Fire
*November, 11th, 2013*

Okay, no need to say that I am obsessed with the Hunger Games trilogy, but this one is getting me to go nuts for it: I mean how can you not get mad abut that story? Its fucking awesome!

"I watch it, so should you!" - Review of True Blood's episode "The Sun"

Picture from watchwithkristin

I freely admit that I have an addiction problem when it comes to True Blood. I had like a little pee coming down my leg from the sheer excitement of a new episode. Bad thing is that, since I live in Germany I have to wait till like 5.A.M. on Monday morning until the new episode of True Blood is downloadable from the I-Tunes Store. But anyway: Here is the promised review of the sixth seasons second episode "The Sun"!

!Spoiler Alert! Episode 1 left us off with a bit of a mixture of a shitty and excited feeling. The whole episode was some sort of  a huge over explanation of what happened with Bill and Lillith and everything. but whatever! Episode 2 in my eyes has fully redeemed  episode 1.  So here is my short, not o short, summary of the story.

"I watch it, so should you!" - TV Series i am addicted to!

Hey pop culture fans out there! Even though I do not really watch TV anymore since I don't have a TV at home, and I do not miss it, I watch tons of this stuff on YouTube since some users make all the work and upload stuff. My DVD collection is not that small either! So this is the first episode of the new series: "TV Series I am addicted to!"

Picture belongs to HBO
At first I would of course write about two of my all time favorite reality TV shows "Kathy Griffin - My life on the D-List" and "Joan and Melissa - Joan knows best!". But I have already written abut theses two series, so no need for double trouble on Icon Art Marilyn!

So witch what I am gonna start instead might be, okay crap aside, this is no big surprise for each and every one of you that I will write about "True Blood" which has been starting now newly for a sixth season. And I mean as soon as I have seen that the sixth season pass is now available online I bought that shit! So in celebration of the new sixth season I chose True Blood to be first on the list!

The series is generally a drama series, and believe me: there is tons of Drama going on! And they have added this supernatural thing to it. Generally this means two years before the series started scientists from Japan have discovered a way to create synthetic blood. As part of this the side effect is that the Vampires now come out of their coffins, since they do not longer rely on human blood. Okay and that is just season one. Over the following 5 seasons they add fairies, wear wolves, wear panther, shape shifters, minades, magicians and other crazy shit! And what comes out is the story of Bon Temps waitress Sookie Stackhouse who gets into all the madness by falling in love with vampire Bill Compton. To recap all of the story would be a huge article! So you just have to watch! But all I can give away is:

In season one it is all about Bill and Sookie getting together, small fight about her with Fangtasia (A Vampire nightclub) owner Eric northman and his progeny Pamela Swynford. Also Bill has to create a progeny as a penalty for killing another vampire to save Sookie. Season 2 is all about the crazy minade Mary Ann which terrorizes Bon Temps and the search for Eric Northmans makes Godric. Season 3 is about the fight of the community against crazy vampire king Russel Edgington. Season 4 is fighting a witch named marnie that wants to destroy all vampires, and season 5 is all about the vampire authority. Okay this is so short cut that you have to read the short synopsis on Wikipedia.

So just as a quick shot: here are some of my favorites from True Blood:

Favorite character (famale):

Pamela Swynford de Beaufort

Picture belongs to HBO

Favorite character (male):

Eric Northman

Picture belongs to HBO

Favorite supernatural species:

Vampires

Favorite True Blood something:

True Blood (Drink) and the LGBT IQA references

I am so eager to see how episode two of season  comes out! So check out True Blood!

"Passion for Fashion" & "I watch it, so should you!" - Madonna at the Premier of her MDNA Concert Film

"All hail the queen!", "There is only one queen, and that is Madonna!" or so else could be the mantra of Madonnas latest project: her MDNA concert film. It had its premier on the 18th of June in New York city. The project will first be released on Epix, and the promoting has already begun! So Madge lovers: Get ready for a big concert event!

Madonna attended the premier in a Dolce and Gabbana tuxedo with a matching elegant hat and one sparkly glittery glove. She completely pulled off the world famous and gender bending Marlene Dietrich look. She finished the whole look with a very pale foundation on her face, blood red lips and cracking a little smile, just like her fashion icon Marlene. It seems that the aging, but still fabulous pop diva, might not be the only queen anymore, but still pulls of high quality work and outfits.

And that is not all: if you compare Madonna and Marlene they have more in common than the M in their names.. way more. Just like Marlene, also Madonna is in a terrible fear of aging. Dietrich did not even leave the house without masking herself. But, as you may have noticed: Madonna does not just sit there and waits for the wrinkly end of the story, no. That would not be MDNA style! She, allegedly,  has gotten herself some botox. And I say: Honey you did right! No single fuck to give t the haters.

But definitely Madonna looked stunning at the MDNA premier, which will be, for me, the concert thing of 2013, unless some other artist will be releasing some stuff, but even then to beat the MDNA concert film will be amazing, just as her look. What is so special about this look is, like i already sad, its gender bending. Even though the effect and the way how to do it is well known and kind of already done, it still gets me, since it is so extremely classical and history proven.

So make sure to check out the trailer and watch the concert when its broadcasted

I watch it, so should you! - Kathy Griffin "Calm Down Gurrl!"

Like I have announced in my last episode of "I watch it, so should you!" I was very much excited for Kathy Griffins new special: "Calm Down Gurrl!" which you can watch on YouTube! Since Kathy is a fierce bitch as usual and is merciless as she used to be always I will give you a short summary of the special.

Picture from Wikimedia Commons
In her best look that performer jumps out on stage like she is a jiggly ball. And she starts right now: Jodi Areas is following her on Twitter and Kathy eats it! I mean literally! Her twat has never been more busy! And we get the best sentence ever: "The gays will wait someone out!" when she talks about yummy Anderson Cooper! She works every notch and we get right to her and her 18 year younger boyfriend at Jane Fonda's birthday party! And there we get a little of Longoria and Streisand, I mean what is better? And let me say: She might be over 50 but she still is cursing like a seamen. And like Michelle Visage she is full of semen. Period. =)

After we get the taste of that Kathy goes on about her boyfriend meeting her family for dinner while they pull down their well behaved masks. And this is some funny shit! I mean really! Oh and did I forget that we get an update on Kathy's dogs Larry and Pom Pom? Besides that Kathy discusses her grandmas vagina and her mother still swears as badly as her!

All I can say is that you must be preeeettty on Ceserp if you dont watch this, and then you would miss out on some seriously good comedy and funny swearing!

The story has probably been told so much that so many people could probably re do the movie on their own. Anyways im gonna tell it to you again!

The stage singer and casino performer Deloris Van Cartier. She is in an affair with the boss of the mafia and sees him killing another man. So she needs to hide since he will kill her and the police puts her into a monastry to hide. She has a hard time to adapt to the lifestyle of a nun. But day after day she fits in a bit better and takes over the chior. The new choir is even gonna sing for the pope. But Deloris past is right behind her .. with guns.

Not only is the movie funny and a family entertainment but also it has a huge potion of social lessons and tension. A need to watch since Whoopi makes the cherry on top of the cream!

"I watch it, so should you!" - Kathy Griffins new special "Gurrl Calm Down"

Hey little Kath-eters! Team Griffin is back with Kathy Griffins newest smacking comedy special "Calm Down Gurl!"

Uhh Gurrl! I think we will have loads and loads of laughs on our hands if we see Kathys new comedy special "Calm Down Gurrl!"! And I am sure it is going to be hillarious!

Rumors have said that the special includes Kathy calling Justin Bieber, that little gone crazy child, "A Thug". And I mean what is better than that? Hello!!!! This is so good! And also it is said to be a recordbreaking special. And I mean really? It is her 16th special on Bravo and this member of #TeamGriffin is super excited for this.

And when it comes to the name Griffin explained that: "Why did I name my sixteenth stand up special 'Calm Down Gurrl?’ Have you seen Amanda Bynes’ latest selfie? Oh and GURRL is not gender specific. I would also apply that wisdom to both Lindsey Graham and Lindsay Lohan.”  She could not be more right.  These celebrity nutbags are cray cray and i dont mean the sort of good cray cray!

Kathy will be mercyless on everything and everybody and you can tune in to Bravo to see it yourself!
