Icons are everywhere!

An icon is someone who makes an effort. Art makes an effort. Therefore art is an icon. Marilyn Monroe was and is an icon and a work of art as well. Hence Marilyn Monroe and art have a nature in common. Icon - Art - Marilyn is iconic.

Quote of the Day #005

"I knew I belonged to the public and to the world, not because I was talented or even beautiful, but because I had never belonged to anyone or anything."

Marilyn Monroe

What Marilyn says in this terrific quote is the, in my opinion, the central truth of fame. Thet, if o are famous, you belong to the public! You no longer are your own property: you are public property. This is the price of fame you have to pay if you want to be famous!

Quote of the Day #004

"Things that are contrary to the ordinary, we automatically award as monstrous."

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta aka. Lady Gaga

In my opinion this quote is not only absolutely true, also its true from the theoretical background, but also it is amazing. I mean Gaga has written this statement in an essay about the philosopher Montaignes essay "About the freak / monstrosity" when she was just a young student. The nature of this comment is veryy clear and actually I think that she is right.

I Love Art - Some 5 Minutes Stuff

I like to draw when I am bored an today I was kind of bored. And so i decided to not go for a geed decided drawing, but just for taking 5 minutes and raping this sheet of paper. And the results, well they turned out ok. But I am about to share them with you, so please try not to forget breathing while looking at this ridiculousness!

Quote of the Day #003

"Isn’t life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?"

Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol, is not only one of the biggest pop art artists or better said the pop art artist, but also he is my first love in art and my favorite artist up till today! And what he says is so right. I mean: we really just repeat over and over patterns that are in some cases right and in some wrong. But basically they are always the same.

I Love Art - You were destined to kiss these Lips.

Lips created by destiny.

Lips painted colored by passion.

Hair bleached by peroxide.

Red Lipstick, Rose Cheeks, Acrylic Claws, Lips destined to be kissed.

Lips are a very sensual part of the body, and if they are voluptuous or not does not matter.

I watch it, so should you! & Just in! - Machete Kills starring Denny Trejo, Sofia Vergara, Charlie Sheen, Amber Heard and Lady Gaga

I have been waiting with such excitement for this to happen since I saw Machete. I am such a huge fan of Robert Rodriguez movie "Machete" and the sequel in wait has made me nuts forever. When last year they released the first character posters i knew the wait would be over in some time.

Copyright belongs to Troublemaker Studios.

And finally there is some low quality snippet of what could be a trailer for "Machet Kills"! I am so extra excited that I could watch it, could just shit my pants, could watch it again and shit my pants again! Not only is this so exciting because I love the Machete franchise but also to see such huge female, strong starpower again! We have the wonderful Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara, Aber Heard, Zoe Salandra, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexa Vega and the queen of pop Lady Gaga! So watch the "trailer" here

So now gag on the 3 stills I made! And let me tell you I so am going to watch this movie like 5 times in cinema!

Music Minute: "Prom Night" by Jeffree Star

Hey you out there! This time Music Minute bring you some pretty old school stuff! And by old school I mean pretty much old school. Because the video and song I will show you was released on May 11th 2012. Okay well its not really old stuff. But its not brand new! Anyway: Lets start!

Some of you may be familiar with Jeffree Star, some may not. But at first i have to confess: He is so amazing. he is the only gender bending male artist in his category. I mean, sure, we got peaches and others, but Jeffree is the only male music artist i know wearing pink and making it so damn rock star like! Also i love his many tattoos and his i don't give a fuck lifestyle! I mean he is like Ke$ha, but only more gay! Anyway: lets get right down to the video!!!

Okay the video is a pink party prom video featuring rock star style and even a drag queen: Detox! Generally the song is very catchy ad the video fits perfectly! Its some extravaganza on the rock star pink world and I mean I love its its so awesome! What I love most is that gender is no topic in the video. The category gender and sex are not even a topic, not in dressing, nor in performance or in behavior!

Quote of the Day #002

"The ideal beauty is a fugitive never to be found!"

Joan Rivers

The great Joan Rivers has spoken absolute truth since the old saying speaks right: Beauty lays in the eye of the beholder!" And so there can be no ideal beauty! I'd never thought to hear this from a woman who could be the spokesperson of plastic surgery!

I read it, so should you! - Michael Schneider: "Marilyns letzte Sitzung"

Welcome to another episode of "I read it, so should you!" This time i feature a German book which I have read some time ago. So get ready for a deep look into the soul of Miss Monroe and her relation towards psycho-analysis.

Copyright by btb Verlag / Randomhouse.
Generally the book is based on true happenings, and on the tapes that Monroe had made of her psycho-analysis settings with her analyst Ralph Greenson. Schneider tells the story of Marilyn's last eight years of her life from the point of psycho analysis. Thereby he reveals lost of shades of Miss Monroe's inner life, that it really is scary. Also the basic information about Monroe's life are told and the author really makes it clear why he sees them in connection  with Monroe's tragic story.  In whole it is written like a novel, but also n a very analytical way. The travel you engage on reading it gives you exact telling of  what could have been going on with her. Sometimes it is really hard to take on the extreme level of nihilism and darkness that apparently surrounded her.

Just go and read it, since I don't want to repeat what is in the book, but i think the most interesting quote would be the following:

"That Marilyn was obsessed with mirrors had begun with her. Often you would find her enchanted by her reflection in the mirror. Friends and co-workers observed how she examined her own image in a 3 parted mirror. How she examined the fit of her dress and the momentum of her brows. It was practically impossible for her to walk pass a mirror without having a look at her own reflection."

Quote of the Day - #001

"No freedom till we are equal! Damn right, I support it!"

This quote is from one of my all time favorite, pro LGBT IQA, pro gay marriage, sons ever: "Same Love" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis feat. Mary Lambert. I just like it because it is so simple and really shows the true colors of Macklemore. He as an artist which can be situated in rap and hip hop Its a pretty big thing to show support of the LGBT IQA community.

Born naked, the rest is drag! - Willam Belli

Hey you out there! This segment is, like you can read, called: "Born naked, the rest is drag!". Each time present to you one drag queen I'm really into and I will try to give you a short glimpse at why I like this queen in particular.

Picture Credits by Flickr. Common Source.
I have dragged about this lil fierce honey before, when I wrote about her hilarious song parodies. But I'm not gonna start with that since it is the most obvious. Willam Belli is an LA based Drag Queen that has done lots of television work, in drag and out of drag. Included are CSI, Nip Tuck and Glee. He has been featured on RuPauls Drag Race Season 4 where he made a really good figure, but (sadly) was excluded from the competition since he broke the rules. (He was visited by his husband)  But as Willam said during the Reunited show: "No RuPaulogies". Thing is that she would probably have taken home the crown. What makes Willam special is not only that he has the sickening body of death and is fishy as fuck, but that he is actually pretty much talented and very creative. He has proven that his acting is A-list, and that her singing skills are chart worthy and her make-up always is professional. (Except for that five o'clock shadow sometimes!) And FYI: She is a very good reader! (Because reading is essential! And by that my dear, not informed, readers: I do not mean reading a book!) And oh my dear! She is very sharp tongued! On Drag Race she has proven that her crafting is good and that she is a true diva. His character is very self confident and sometimes a bit arrogant, which does not mean that she is not a sweetheart and giving (sometimes).

I am a huge fan of Willam, but I do really understand if people dislike her since she is no innocent lamb, and can be pretty cruel. Also her sometimes arrogant attitude make her extremely, well lets say, not that lovable! But if you have the chance: Go check her out, and maybe you will hear her performing her big hits: "Chow Down (At Chick - fil - A)" and "Boy is a Bottom"! (And there were the song parodies!)

I Love Art - Having a whisky in the studio!

Hey pop art lovers out there! I got a new picture for you of the queen of Pop: Lady Gaga! So get out yyour Monster Paws and turn on Born This Way and enjoy the picture:

Obviously I have taken the idea from the picture, the pose and the very pose from Gagas book "Gaga X Terry" But I just loved the pose she had on the picture, and that she had whisky in her hand! And god believe me: I love a string woman with a classic glass of whisky in her hand! Its so sexy!

"Follow That!" - Digital lifestyle on lenznoelkel.com

Hey you out there! Today I'm going to introduce a new topic to you called: "Follow That!". In this topic I will give shout out to blogs and pages on the web I like to read and which i find interesting! So lets dive right in:

Today I give a shout out to the page of Lenz Nölkel who has a blog about digital lifestyle. The address of that blog is pretty simple: lenznoelkel.com. You can see the screenshot below:

Okay in general he writes about new gadgets like new mobile phones and cameras and stuff. The articles are short and informative and really bring it down to the basics, which gives you just a good overview to what the "product" really is about! What I also like about the blog is that there are some very funny things on there which, if you know me, very much appreciate!

The funniest, well in my opinion´, is the following: a product for about 3 Euro how to turn your cat into a unicorn! And man! That is some funny gay-ass shit! And I love such gay-ass shit! Wuhuuu!

So follow that, you b*tches! =)

I watch it, so should you! - Star Trek: Into Darkness

Yes, I freely admit that I am a huge geek and that I absolutely LOVE Star Trek. My most favorite TV Show when I was young was Star Trek Voyager and since then I have consumed every bit of the Star Trek universe possible! I mean: hello? Its awesome! So 2 weeks ago or so, i went with a friend of mine to watch the new vehicle of the franchise: Star Trek - Into Darkness.

Picture Credits belong to the studios.
The new Star Trek movie is in  fact at first one thing: dark. Many People say that they do not want to see the Star Trek movie since its so dark. I mean they say that i was not the vision of Gene Roddenberry to create such a dark and sinister universe. But I would have to say that this movie is the best that could have happened to Star Trek. I mean it is not the original version but everything needs to develop. And they did it with that movie. Its more appealing to a younger audience and has more action. Although I like the scientific episodes of it sometimes I missed the action. So lets dive right into this!

The movie plot in general is that the federation is threatened by a powerful enemy. And against what the trailer wants to tell you. The enemy is a federation insider himself. I wont tell you whom he is but you will be surprised. And then the movie is just Kirk doing his stuff. But that is what it is all about. How they do it and nothing more. Everything I will give away to you is the following:

You will find out who Khan (From the second Star Trek movie "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan) is, and what his history with James T. Kirk is. Also we will get to know how the friendship relationship between Kirk and Spock developed, how Uhura and Spock fight and what Kirks real motivations are (I mean towards the federation). We also ind out the story between Dr. Marcus and Kirk and will get to know that Starfleet principles do make sense.

It is full of action and huge CGI animations, but in the center it still is all about Star Trek. So go: and watch!

I Love Art - Walk of Glory!

See, I love beautiful things and since I am a big fan of strong women and a fan of outrageous fashion. So Lady Gaga combines outrageous fashion and fierce and strong womanhood in her Monster Ball Tour performance of "So Happy I Could Die".

Love the shoes: I mean they are Armani. What is better than that? The picture is very simple and static, but at the same time very warholian. Theses shoes are so outrageous and absurd that you have to love them. I mean they are unpractical and fierce. What is not to love about them? I just wanted to give a glimpse shot of a performance with a statical pop art aesthetic.

I watch it, so should you! - Elvira, Mistress of the Dark - DVD

And if they ever ask about me, tell them I was more than just a great set of boobs. I was also an incredible pair of legs. And tell them... tell them that I never turned down a friend. I... never turned down a stranger for that matter. And tell them... tell them that when all is said and done, I only ask that people remember me by two simple words. Any two, as long as they're simple.

Picture courtesy of Savoy Film / rightful owner.
Hey you there! If you haven't guessed up to now whom this quote is about you seriously need to do some research for your knowledge of pop culture! I am talking about Elvira: The Mistress of the Dark. Caassandra Peterson's classic goth character is a catch! The Mistress of the Dark is a vamp first class with 2 lovely boo.. uhm i mean 2 lovely qualities: humor and rapier wit! The b-class horror movie hostess with the bimbo bombshell figure might come across as the dumb girl that is easy to get. But believe me, she might be a lil slutty, but she is not easy to get! She uses her body to get what she wants but, she is not for hire! And Elvira is something else: dumb, dumb, dumb. But in a very lovely and surprisingly world working way.

In the movie she works as a horror hostess and quits her job, to follow her dream: a Vegas show. She needs money to do so, and the death of her aunt Morgana promises her a huge inheritance, at least she thinks so. All she gets is a poodle, an old house and a 300 years old "recipe" book, which is a magic book, which her uncle Vinnie is after since its existence. But of course Elvira does nit know that. She tries to sell the house and has it pretty difficult in the little town where her aunt lived. She makes friends with the teenager but has lots of trouble with the morality committee. Most of the inhabitants of the village don't like her. She does nit fit into the world of the town, which honestly is a world of bigotry. And besides the fact that she does not fit into the town, her boobs nearly do not fit the dress.

All in all a definite watch! Funny, comedic and if you read it in some ways also a picture of a torn society: The US. A must, not only for 80s and goth fans but also for everyone who is interested in good movies! Watch the trailer below!

Music Minute - Billboard Music Awards 2013

Hey you out there! I am a huge fan of award shows, in particular if my favorites win. Although I just was reading a live report and not watching the actual event I have enjoyed the Billboard Music Awards.

For me the best of such a show are the performances, but since i haven't seen them this year i had to look up who performed.  And pretty much there was no performance there for me. I mean there were Bruno Mars (I think he is good, but I don't care for his music), Selena Gomez (Seriously? She is considered a singer?), Chris Brown (This dude is not worth it, i mean seriously you women beating asshole?), Taylor Swift (Cant stand her!), JLo (I mean who cares?) and Pitbull (Whose music is the CRAP!). The only notable one would be Prince, but i kinda don't really love him either. And not to talk about talentless lil Justin Bieber (Who I don't consider an artist since he does not even write his own songs, and does not know how to behave. Well, but something he must be doing right.). So to the award winners now:

The biggest winner of the night was, like i would have predicted it: Taylor Swift. She took home 8 awards including Top Artist (Where I would have picked Rihanna from the nominees), Billboard Top 200 Album (Which Adles 21 deserved much more, and I'm not even a real fan of Adele) and Best Female Artist (Which she actually deserved, since she was nominated along Britney, Katy P, Rihanna and Christina - I don't give a shit i cant sing - Aguilera).  Rihanna was the second biggest winner with R&B Song of the Year for Diamonds (Which was a good pick),  R&B Album of the Year for Unapologetic (I don't get it where Unapologetic is R&B, but its okay with me, although I would have loved to see Frank Ocean take home this one) and as the R&B Artist of the year (Rihanna is not R&B, Only because she is not Caucasian does not make that Pop and Electronic bitch R&B!!!).

Carly Rae (I don't give a shit about your so called "music") Jepsen, Justin (for shure is a lesbian) Bieber, Nicki (Still can't sing live, but I love her music) Minaj and One (Confusing that they are still around,) Direction each earned 3 awards, some of them deserved some not. The biggest surprise for me was that Madonna took home 3 awards. She was nominated for 3 and won these 3! She took home Dance album of the Year (Which, even though MDA has its weak spots, she, in my opinion, deserved. But the others would have deserved this award as well.), Dance Artist of the Year (Which sorry Madge, should have gone to Swedish House Mafia) and Top Touring Artist.

The Category Top Touring Artist, for me is very important. I mean She was nominated along amazing Coldplay, Mother Monster Lady Gaga, legendary Bruce Springsteen and Roger (Who the fuck is he?) Walters. All would have deserved the award except for Walters. Then I prefer huge shows, since they are ten times more "showy" and difficult. So this leaves Madonna and Gaga. And Madonna just makes her Tours so successful (in commercial sense) since tickets cot 300 $! And Se "only" did 88 shows. Gaga did 98 of over 110 shows and then had to stop due to hip surgery. But anyways: I liked the MDNA Tour and I will get the Concert DVD! But i would have loved to see Gaga win this!

Best Moment of the night: Bieber getting booed!

I Love Art! - Lana Del Rey as the photographers doll

Dressed, photographed and left lifeless.

What I wanted to show with this picture is Lana Del Rey in a Marilyn Monroe situation. I wanted to give the impression of having your picture taken and therefore just being a doll that is being ripped off. Her face is lifeless and her figure and hair doll like. Lifeless but beautiful. This idea i got from a book that I read about Marilyn Monroe and psychoanalysis. In it the author analyzed Monroe's relation with the camera. Practically she loved to be photographed but on some point of her life she just felt that she was a puppet. And the reproduction of her in photo made herself just an object and less important due to her being consumed on photograph. So herself was no longer a use.

Just in! - Say no to Abercrombie and Fitch!

This is just in and I do not really know to express how in shock I am about what the owner of Abercrombie and Fitch has said today about women and sizes. He said that women with the size "L" are not wanted in their stores. They don't want women of that size to wear their clothing. Besides that this is discriminating this is also sexist. So act along and do it like me: Write a protest mail and unfollow them on twitter, facebook, google plus and all other networks Also stop buying from them. Their clothes are ugly and from bad quality anyways!

I read it, so should you! - Inferno by Dan Brown

Look what the Postman had given to me right now: Dan Browns newest novel, "Inferno".

I hope i will get to read this book as fast as I can to tell you my opinion about it. I mean I really liked the last 3 books by Dan Brown. ANd I hope that also this time Dan Brown wont disappoint me. I hope it is goingt o be good, since I know that it is hard to write a story about a character we all know in this genre without making it very boring. I will tell you as fast as I can what i think about it. So either you also start reading it, or you just wait for my saying and then read.

I read it, so should you! - "Blow by Blow" by Detmar Blow

This episode of "I read it, so should you!" could also be an episode of "Passion for Fashion".  On May 7th 2007 Isabella low, beloved eccentric fashion journalist, set an end to her life. With poison she set her life an end, and her husband Detmar Blow has, in co-work with Tom Sykes, written a biography of his wife.

Cover Copyright by Harper Collins.
Blow, who himself struggled much with depression, tell the story of his wife Isabella in a surprisingly un-kitschy way. But at the same time it is really moving. He starts off in Isabella's childhood and also sweeps back into the history of her family and her difficult childhood. Also he stalks about Isabella's relation to her father and the relation to her step-mother. Also he includes her her relation to old medieval ruins and the "palace" she grew up. Detmar involves Issie's early relationships and her proclivity to rebellion and non-conformativity. The biography also includes Issies first marriage, her moving to Texas, and her moving to New York City. Also included are her jobs at Vogue (where she became the assistant of Anna Wintour), at Tatler and meeting with Detmar.

From this point on he describes his life with her. In there he includes Issie discovering Alexander McQueen. He really goes into detail about describing their life until the time when Issie started to feel depressive.  He really goes into detail about her self destructive mode, her suicide attempts and her fighting ovarian cancer. When he writes about her death the book is really at its best. Still its a tragic story but fascinating.

This is a definite read. And its not a light and soft read, it is really something one should read and think about while reading!

I watch it, so should you! - Cloud Atlas on DVD

Look what amazon.de has left in my mailbox. Okay more directly speaking my bank account has paid for that shit, and im pretty sure it would have kept that money. But I am into pop-culture and movies. But what am I talking about? You would not be reading this if you weren't into this as well.

Copyright belongs to Cloud Atlas Productions.
Right now can tell you that I have been to the movie when it came out. And besides the fact that I had to pee so bad since the movie was so long, but I can tell you it was amazing! And it is amazing! The Cloud Atlas topic in general could be either that life's are connected throughout time or / and that humankind has always had bad and good sides. The third thing that I have seen in the movie is that humankind always repeats its mistakes. But only in other incarnations and or forms.

The movie is based on the book and since I haven't read the book now I cannot tell you if its good or not and where the differences between movie and book are. But like in the book there are 6 time periods. In 1849 we get to know a young American lawyer who discovers that slavery is wrong, through the kind acts of an escaped slave who is a blind passenger on a ride over the Atlantic ocean. In the next period, 1963, we learn about the life and work of a young, British, gay composer and his first big work, and sadly his last. Actually it is surprising to me that this "Love  hate" story is one of my 2 favorite periods in the movie. And: it is an LGBT segment! Wuhuu! In 1973 we learn about a journalist who risks her life to lay open a intrigue in a nuclear power plant. In 2012 an old publisher gets to learn about the worth of freedom ad free decision when he fights his way out of a retirement home. Now we get to my second favorite time period: 2144. In a futuristic city called Neo-Seoul. In this absolute and repressive regime clones are used as servants without any rights. They are used for 13 years or so and then they are killed and serve as food for new clones. This period has many facets and I don't want to give away any more from it, so you just have to watch! And the last period plays in 2346, in the post apocalyptic setting of Hawaii.

Go and buy that DVD! The extras include a Making of and details about the premier in Europe. Also there is a link included in the box for a free download of the movie in HD quality! So: Buy! Buy! Buy!

Music Minute. Concert Edition - P!nk Tour Merchandise

Who has not yet read my post about how awesome the "Truth About Love Tour" by P!nk was should do so right now! Here is the link! In tis post i will give you a very small glimpse on the tour book I have bought at the arena.

And my ticket looks a bit used =)

So the tour book of P!k is basically a letter of hers to her fans, amazing photographs behind the scenes photographies and on stage pictures of P!nk.  Also the tour book includes a little comic called. The Truth About Love.

Music Minute: Concert Edition - P!nk presents "The Truth About Love Tour"

Its in the middle of the show when a fan throws a package of cheese balls on stage. P!nk picks it up and opens the package. Would you think that a pop star that figure eats cheese balls? No! But she does! And she declares that for cheese balls "I would strip naked, and sing jazz tunes!"

In preparation two friends of mine needed to drive to Leipzig, and since we came from different cities we had quite a logistic thing, but finally we met in front of the arena. Excited for a great show we quickly went for a bite at Subway and then hit the line at the arena entrance. At ca. 18.00 they slowly let the people in, but there were so many already that we did not make it to the very front, but we were like in the first 3rd of the arena, and had a quite nice look at the stage. Also there were huge monitors, so that we could see everything in detail. The pre act was called Churchill, a indie rock, alternative band which my friend Nena liked and I, due to my bad mood reasoned in the bad bad air, just wanted to leave. They were okay in my opinion, but i am not a fan of the genre in general.

The whole thing started very innocently by the monitors announcing:

The Tour is called like P!nk latest hit album "Truth About Love"  and right from the beginning a very funny host explains that this tour will be exactly about this topic.

But in a way that only P!nk can do it: with acrobatics, rock tunes and spectacular costumes and dancers. When the curtain in front of the stage finally drops there is no holding back for the approximately 14.000 fans in the arena. Leave it to P!nk to motivate so much people who have stood in a terribly warm arena with only a little fresh air to go crazy the minute her show starts. The spectacle opens up with the barn burner song "Raise Your Glass", acrobatics in the air and even a little fireworks in the back.

I read it, so should you!: Joan Rivers - Men are stupid.. and they like big Boobs

Today it is time for another episode of "I read it, so should you!". This time we will have a look at a funny and very serious book by Joan Rivers called: "Men are stupid... and they like big Boobs!"

Book Cover copyright by Pocket Books and
Georg Lange. Book Copyrights by Joan Rivers,
Larry A. Thompson and Pocket Books.
At first I have to say one thing: Joan Rivers is a comedy legend, icon and so many other things. She is over 70, nearly 80 and had tons of plastic surgery procedures. So it is natural for her to speak about the topic. She herself has said that she has become an advocate for plastic surgery and a joke of it at the same time. But this book is not about her deal with the public reaction to plastic surgery. Much more it is a detailed guide about what is legally available, her experiences with it, a general take on plastic surgery and a humorous take on the topic as well. After all she still is a comedienne.

The book starts right off with her explaining that our society is so appearance centric, explains what me have to do with it, a short history of plastic surgery and her own history with it. She also gives a quiz you can take if you really want to know if you are ready for plastic surgery. And there the idea strikes that Joan takes it very serious. The outcome of the test is: "Only do plastic surgery if you want it 150%!" And I think that she takes it that way is absolutely brilliant! It shows that it is really abut mature, well thought decisions. Also the whole first chapter is about choosing your doctor carefully, not only going for cheap and how to screen for the best doctor!

As she goes through all the possible procedures she has this system in it which i find very interesting. She starts off with a humorous little story to approach the topic. Then she gives you the basics, how it really works (And let me tell you She is very detailed and scientific, but its really easy to understand. But she always adds a little fun!),  how it is done, the costs, a category called "Remind me again, Why do i want to do this?" (Where she gives you the advantages), and then she gives you al the things that could go wrong (She even includes death, since it is possible by 2 %, to not awake due to anesthesia). Also she sometimes includes what you should not await out of the procedure, backstories on the procedure and every so often gives you celebrity examples. In the introduction she really pulls it all together by saying: "Do whatever you want, if it makes you happy!"

Now i want to give you my favorite quote from the book. This is from the part about breast lifting, from the category "Reming me again, Why do I want to do this?":

"The rewards: Your girlish figure misses you! And, God knows, you miss it! Remember what your boobs looked like, before the kids, before gravity grabbed them ad refused to let go? Women get lifts because they long for the days of breasts above their bellybuttons."

I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to have plastic surgery, since it really gives you an idea of what you want. It is like a how to guide to get the best results you want. Also I would recommend it to everyone interested in the topic, interested in societies pressure on women and beauty and an hones view on plastic surgery. And at a price from 15 $ in paperback, i got mine via Amazon.com for like 1 €, its not that expensive. Believe me, you wont regret this buy!

I Love Art: Marilyn The Last Hours, a reenactment drawn by the model of Amanda Lepore - Outtakes

And here are the outtakes:

With this picture i was not really sure if i could make it work. I think i would have had a hard time to really work out the face of Marilyn.

Wit this one i had doubts if i would really get it to look like gives this kissing mouth Also i thought it might have a happy undertone which the series does not.

I really liked the pose, it reminded me of something angelic. But i think i decided to leave it out since it was some sort of copy of picture #2 The Face.

Maybe I will try to make these 3 happen and then show you if they turned out or not.

"Music Minute" - Lady Gaga: The Born This Way Ball Tour

"I am not a creature of your government, I am not a man, I am not a woman, I am not human! I am you!"

It has been like ages since i went to the most amazing show i have ever been in my whole life: The Born This Way Ball Tour - starring Lady Gaga. On the 24th of September me and a good friend of mine, got our asses into my car, drove to Hanover and had the time of our life at the Born This Way Ball. Why i just post that so late? Well, today at about 20.00 a very good friend of mine, her best friend and me will be in Leipzig and listen to the incredible P!nk on her funhouse tour! And as a warm up for you all, to get the concert feeling, i will write about my Born This Way Ball experience.

Lets diver right in with the ticket: If a ticket looks fucked up it means it was a great concert! Ad my ticket has seen more action than a hooker at a republican convention! So it was fucking awesome.

And the show was absolutely amazing! Also the pre show stuff my friend Johanna and I did was so funny! So here we got a picture of her putting on her slutty Make-Up, and us posing in front of the photo wall! And by the way: This is my 100th post on this blog! So wohoooo!

I watch it, so should you! - Iron Man 3

We all know that rich dude in that iron suit, and we all know that he has a gorgeous girlfriend and that his life is a series of great things. But what you did not know until now is that this man: tony Stark can not sleep. Why? You will find out in this episode of "I watch it, so should you!". So get ready for Iron Man 3!

Picture Copyrights belong to Marvel.
I went to see the third installment of the Iron man franchise on may 1st. And yes I know it has been like 10 days now, but I was a bit busy =), so forgive me. To the movie: Iron Man 3 starts off right where the movie "The Avengers" set off. I think a  few months have passed and we get to re-know Tony as another person. He has anxiety attacks and cant sleep, due to his experiences in the wormhole that led him to the universe of the Centauri. When asked by a kid in a restaurant how that felt, he has a serious anxiety attack and flees into his Iron Man suit. At home we see that he constantly works on the Iron Man suits, and builds more and more of them. At night e cant sleep and his relationship with Pepper is about to be put on a serious trial. When his house gets attacked by the Mandarin, Pepper kidnapped and his security chief Happie is nearly killed in a bombing in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in LA Tony has to re think everything. He seeks for revenge, but his Iron Man suit is not working. So we see Tony finding back his confidence without his suits, and getting to know who his enemy really is. As it turns out: It is not the "Mandarin" like the tailer wants us to believe, but someone from Tony's personal past.

Since i don't want to give away too much I will just sum it up by saying that it is worth watching. There are some funny, very funny, scenes in this box office juggernaut. Also Pepper will be wearing the Iron Man suit, there will be Tony's funny attitude, There will be loads of fighting and Pepper this time will be glowing. And by glowing I mean glowing in the most direct sense of the word. Oh and you will see up to 40 Iron Man suits. So go and watch it!

I Love Art - Marilyn: Tha Last Hours, a reenactment drawn by the model of Amanda Lepore #11 The Body Bag

#11 The Body Bag

I decided that I wanted to finish this art / drawing series with  drawing that did jump out a little. So I decided to go for the tabloid version. There i'd have a picture of Monroe in the body bag, only her lips visible. I decided to go for the lips and not the iconic blonde hair, since her lips were super voluptuous and Amanda Lepore's lips are as well.  Also I liked the idea that, even as a corpse, Monroe was property of the public.

I Love Art - Marilyn: The Last Hours, a reenactment drawn by the model of Amanda Lepore #9 The Sip

#9 The Sip

This sip will be fatal for Norma and will make Monroe a legend and a myth. Sadly this last sip of champagne flushes down the cocktail of pills she took before going to bed. She will sleep. I decided to make this picture not blurred since we don't take on the action from Monroe's perspective, but much more from the perspective of an outsider, or the press.
